Adirondack Chairs

adirondack chair

Adirondack chairs have been around since the early 1900's. Originally named Westport chairs after the town in New York where they were first conceived and built, they later became known by their common name, Adirondack chairs, after the Adirondack mountain range in that same part of the country.

The unique design of the Adirondack chair makes it easily distinguishable from other lawn and patio chairs. The lean-back design makes them extremely comfortable as well. The Adirondack style has been applied to other furniture items, including tables, ottomans, and rockers. While the original Adirondack chairs were made from pine or hemlock, today's Adirondack furniture is available in cedar, cypress, mahogany, and even recycled plastic materials.

If you're looking for a comfortable, stylish, and unique chair for your lawn or patio, an Adirondack chair might be the perfect choice. Find out more about Adirondack furniture by following any of the links below.
